Are there online tools to help with parent communication?

Co-parenting is rarely easy, especially when there is a contentious relationship with an ex-partner.  You may be concerned about your ex’s parenting abilities, ability to get the kids to activities and event, or feel worn down by unending conflict.  But co-parenting amicably gives children the structure, stability, security, and close relationships with both parents they need.  For the sake of your kids’ well-being, it is possible to manage or even overcome co-parenting challenges and develop a cordial working relationship with your ex.

Our Family Wizard is an online tool that allows parents to exchange messages that cannot be deleted or altered which can also be printed for the court.  It also offers parents a calendaring system allowing both parents to add activities and events so they both have an up-to-date calendar to use.  Parents can also exchange expenses for the children and pay them online.  Our Family Wizard is an application to upload on mobile phones and tablets.  There is a monthly cost for this program, but the company does allow parents with limited income to use the program for free.

Our Family Wizard is the most used online program but there are other companies offering similar services.  Other online website is www.coparently.com that offers similar services as Our Family Wizard for a fee.

Google Calendar provides parents with a free calendaring system to post children’s activities and events.

There is ample technology available to parents who do not find face-to-face communication or telephone calls, texting or emails to be the most efficient way to communicate.
